Associate Engineer, Mechanical

The Job:

* PURPOSE OF JOB
o To carry out effective maintenance and repair jobs of factory equipment and machinery
o To minimise plant downtime
o To assist in improving process efficiencies indirectly by above or upon request by superiors.
o To trouble shoot recurring problems that may occur during course of job and propose improvements thereof.
o To assist in improvement / investment jobs from time to time.

o RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
+ General
# To perform any tasks as assigned by superior.
# To observe good housekeeping in work place
# To maintain good Engineering practices especially that related to safety
+ Maintenance and Repair
# To execute and assist in the planning of maintenance, improvement and investment works as required
# To attend breakdowns punctually and rectify in the shortest possible time
# To troubleshoot breakdowns in order to identify their causes and propose modifications thereof
# To execute and maintenance and modify hydraulic and pneumatic systems
# To carry out welding and cutting work as required

Requirements:

* Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
* EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
o Workplace Safety and Health Practices
o Experience in Elements of Process Engineering
o Experience in Elements of Factory Utilities
o Mechanical Equipment knowledge, maintenance and repair and Troubleshooting
o Interpretation of engineering Drawings, layouts and Symbols
o Knowledge in pneumatics and hydraulic systems

Proficiency in English & Bahasa Malaysia is a requirement for the above position. applicants must possess own transport and be willing to commute to plant location in Northport, Port Klang.
